This complimentary CLE webinar will review ethical issues and implications of fraudulent conduct, misrepresentation and deceit that comes to the attention of in-house counsel. Presenters will discuss in-house counsel's role as gatekeeper for reporting and disclosing sensitive matters, and lawyer professional boundaries when faced with client conduct that is criminal, fraudulent or presents some form of misrepresentation. Topics will include honesty in negotiations, pretexting, various client communications, internal investigations including sexual harassment matters, implications of Sarbanes Oxley, and consideration of other collateral consequences.
