CIO’s leadership skills just as important as their technological savvy: CanadianCIO Census

Watch on Demand

As more businesses undergo digital transformation, CIOs are increasingly being tapped to help lead the initiatives, not simply to support them.

That’s just one of the findings of the recently released 2017 CanadianCIO Census that will be subject of a webinar October 4, 2017, 1 p.m.

Webinar leader and census co-author Jim Love says the census provides an excellent way for CIOs to benchmark their careers against those of colleagues. For non-CIOs, understanding the thinking of technology leaders is crucial for those who want to do business in any meaningful way.

“It’s a good year to be a CIO in Canada,” adds Ron Babin, a Ryerson University business professor who helped draft the report. “Hiring expectations are strong, the cloud appears to have delivered on its initial promise and CIOs are gaining seniority as they stay in the position longer.”

Join ITWC CIO Jim Love, Ron Babin of Ryerson University and Kovar Gregory, senior director at CA Technologies for a complete discussion of the census findings and why they are important to you.

Webinar participants will receive a copy of the census and an infographic outlining key findings.
