How Private Is Your Data? A North American Perspective
Now available on demand!
Would your managed service provider willingly give up your data? The answer might surprise you
When companies engage a managed services provider there is an expectation that their data will be fully secure and protected at all times. Technically, that may be the case, but in reality, there are many other ways that data privacy and security can be breached. For example, the recent Apple case and others have shown governments and law enforcement agencies often cast very wide nets and make requests for data from providers. If this happened, what would your managed service provider do?
It’s incumbent on everyone who engages managed services - or who is planning to - to know the risks, the issues and above all, to know the right questions to ask. Because if your CEO or Board of Directors asks the question - "what would our provider do?" … would you be able to give a clear answer?
